My name is Zanele Nompumelelo Mavuso and I’m the author of the report: The Invisible Profit System. I’m a wife and mom of 3 beautiful children God has blessed us with and New Zealand has been home for me since 2005. Moving countries has been one of the best experiences that ever happened for me.
My husband and I decided to leave the Kingdom of ESwatini to see the world. I’m happy and grateful to say that New Zealand has been a platform for us to see the world and experience different cultures and communities, right here in Aotearoa and in other countries and places we have visited.
I'm a Stay-at-home-Mum who doesn't stay at home..
We had one child when we left and now we have three. I was working as a high school science and maths teacher in my home country but we decided that we were going to have more children in New Zealand, so I was going to look after the family while my husband studied and worked. By God’s grace we did that and I am one grateful woman.
In the process of being a mum at home, I discovered so many things that Mums at home get involved in and at some point I said, I’m a stay at home mum who doesn’t stay home. I got involved in the community with activities that brought women together and I fell in love with being available for my children but also for other mothers.
I quickly realised how privileged I was and wanted to offer myself to so many other mothers who needed a hand and guidance. Health was my first interest as I got to learn so much about things we could at home as parents to create a healthy home. This moved into finances as I got involved in financial literacy classes in the community. Even though the teaching was so basic, it was creating such transformation in some families that I realised it was such vital teaching.
I help women change their lives!
Now I teach women to look out for income opportunities that are not obvious to the untrained eye. We look at how as Mums they can look after their families while also supporting financially without working long hours and out of the home if they don’t want to. I teach Mums how to be resourceful with what they already have while working on increasing their income.
Post covid, when things are changing, we need to be smart. The pitfalls we may have not seen before covid are now in full view and we need to be intentional with avoiding them again. It is not time for despair but to be alert and work smarter.
